Objectives

The main purpose of the organization is to promote, peaceful and cohesive coexistence among people

  • To actively champion peace building initiatives and anti-ethnicity campaigns among youth
  • To promote the inculcation of a culture of dialogue and respect of one another between communities, opposing groups as a way of solving problems
  • To facilitate the acquisition of knowledge and skills for dialogue, communication, negotiation and mediation among communities, the youth, political and religious leaders within
  • To establish creative channels through which the youth can be inspired to take an interest in Peace building, human rights, advocacy and conflict transformation processes and anti civil war mechanism in the world
  • To provide an international forum for the youth to share their experiences and learn best practices of development from each other
  • To create systems that will diffuse conflict through early warning signs to national governments
  • Promote a just international peace that respects people’s social and cultural differences
  • Condemn all forms of ethnic and racial conflict against peoples and to denounce their instigators
  • Contradict the training of ethnic militia or sectarian groups
  • Cooperate with all organizations and institutions that have similar objectives
  • To support member countries in the development and implementation of policies, strategies and operational plans related to prevention of ethnic and racial based violence

The quest for self-determination and democratization of states has lead to numerous conflicts around the world. These conflicts range from civil wars as the case in Central African Republic or war against rebel groups as is the case in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan and South Sudan or popular uprising against Government as in the case of Egypt or war against tuareg and islamist militants as is the case in Mali, Somalia and Nigeria

Message From The Founder And Executive Director

Other conflicts have arisen as a result of proxy wars from powers, for example the conflict in Syria between the government and the rebels, the conflict in Ukraine between the new regime and Russian supported rebels of the East. In addition acts of terrorism has become a global cause of deaths globally; where terrorist groups taget innocent civilians for the unknown reasons

The consequences of all these categories of wars are well known, they have lead to;

  • Increase in figures of both civilian and military deaths
  • Increase in figures of both civilian and military deaths
  • Rise in sexual violence in conflict areas
  • Increase in child soldier
  • Poor or no education with poor health conditions
  • Social and economic de-development

The future of many generations is at risk if this trend is allowed to continue. The world must unite with one force and accord to root out segregation, discrimination and other acts that would escalate societal conflicts into devastating levels

PU international is an organization that was set up by young people who believed that the human race will be extinct these human wars are allowed in this generation. They believed that the human race must bring an end to war or else war will bring an end to the human race.

PU International is anchored on the philosophy that world development will depend on environment within which her people live, All humans deserve a dignified life which must not be cut short by war, a peaceful environment is necessary to enable them exercise their full potential so as to achieve their purposes. This is only achievable through sober leadership that is based on ethical values. PU International exists to advocate against ethnocentrism, tribalism and civil war while supporting values of human dignity, equality, service, integrity and accountability. Envisioning seeing united, peaceful and cohesive nations that are devoid of civil strife, PU International seeks to initiate programs that impact a culture of cohesiveness between diverse cultures and to provide a bridge that prevents deterioration of conflicts into civil strife. The organization uses the following programs to achieve her goal

  • Peace education
  • Anti-violence advocacy
  • Early warning trumpet
  • The bridge (Mediation of communities)
  • Displaced persons Camp aid

Through the programs named above, it seeks to
